D3's Third Annual
Charity Basketball Game

D3 Community Outreach, Incorporated invites you to our 3rd Annual Charity Basketball Game in January 2012 at the Emily Krzyzewski Center in Durham, North Carolina. The Annual Charity Basketball Game is our premier fundraiser for the Youth Empowerment and College Tour Trip detailed below.
D3 Community Outreach Incorporated is a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of disadvantaged youth in the Durham community. D3 targets youth ages 14-18 who are members of gangs, victims of family violence, and those who need to be given a free opportunity to succeed. D3 programs work to instill morals and values in youth by targeting the child's academic, social, physical and emotional realms of life. Annually, during the first week of August, D3 hosts a Youth Empowerment and College Tour Trip for up to 50 of the youth we serve. This will be the 5th year that D3 will sponsor this trip at no cost to the youth who participate. The trip is used to teach youth positive leadership development skills, create alternative supportive communities to prevent gang allegiance, promote higher education opportunities and provide youth with the opportunity to explore options beyond the Durham county line. Oftentimes it is difficult for youth with unfortunate circumstances to make positive changes while still being exposed to challenging environments.
We welcome your support in the form of financial contributions to cover the direct costs associated with the 2011 Youth Empowerment and College Tour Trip, as well as in-kind donations that fit well with your organizational structure. In-kind donations will be used for raffles at D3 events leading up to the Youth Empowerment and College Tour Trip. To show appreciation for your generosity, we will display your organization’s logo on the 2012 Charity Basketball T-shirt as well as on the D3 Website, Facebook page, Blog, and Twitter account.
